My top qualities are honesty and quality- and I teach them in different ways.
I love to invest into people that have a passion to better themselves- and I will find a way to help you improve.

For children:
I home-schooled 3 children from ages 5 to 12, kept them on track with their assignments, and taught them all the basic subjects including English, music reading (piano and guitar) reading, math, science, social studies, spelling, and history.
Along with that I am a part of an overseas English camp ministry that I partake every summer where we teach English to European children and plan games and activities for them.

For teenagers:
I've worked in teen camps and other teen ministries where I've participated in educational, music, and art programs. I feel like teenagers just need to have someone positive to look up to, and they will find their way to success. If you show them that you care, and if you are willing to invest into their lives by being there for them, then you have found a way into their heart. High school can be tough, but it can also be a blast if you can help them find their confidence.

For college students:
As a recent graduate student, I know what it's like and I know where you're coming from. You want to understand and succeed in your assignments that can get you to your dreams. Or maybe you just want to get by a certain class that seems to be dragging you behind. I can help because I've just recently gone through it. Its so much easier to have someone break it down for you rather than stare at a text book for an hour trying to figure out a metabolic pathway or trying to figure out how to start writing a literature review.

For those with special needs kids:
I interned in a camp with special needs kids ranging from age 5 to 21 where we practiced physical, speech, nutrition, and brain development therapy. Patience is key.

Others:
I'm currently a personal trainer, but I will do my best to work around my schedule, as I schedule my hours. Fitness and nutrition is a passion of mine and if you are struggling with that, then do not be afraid to ask. I have learned that it is never too late to start living a healthy life, but the earlier you start, the better your quality of life will be.

I also have a big background in music and have given piano lessons as music is another big passion of mine.

So let's go for it.

Basketball

I played high school basketball for 2 years. I also taught at a camp and taught basketball.

Bible Studies

I went to a Christian university and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Health Promotions. In that four year degree I was required to take Old and New Testament Bible classes, Theology 1 and 2, Evangelism, and General Contemporary Christian Issues. I attended convocation 3 times a week where scripture was read and taught. Not only that, but I've taught Bible lessons and been apart of Bible Studies my entire life.

Bodybuilding

I'm a personal trainer and I have a Master of Science in Nutrition and Physical Activity. There are key specifics with trying to body build that involve both exercise and eating habits. With my experience in training, I know I can help anyone get to their max potential in body building.

Czech

My mom's Czech. I am a Czech citizen. Czech was my first language. I can read, write, and understand Czech, as that is how I communicate with my mom.

Elementary (K-6th)

I homeschooled my 3 younger siblings starting at k-5 up to high school. I am familiar and feel very confident in teaching elementary subjects as I have had years of experience dealing with 3 younger siblings.

Fitness

I'm currently a personal trainer and have a masters in nutrition and physical activity.

General Music

I took a general music reading course in college that gave me the material and knowledge to break music down to where I can teach it to others. I also have 7 plus years in piano lessons, 2 years in violin, and 3 plus years in choir and sight reading. I love music and I love teaching it and sharing it with others.

Nutrition

I have a master's in nutrition and perform nutrition assessments at my current job.

Piano

I took piano lessons for at least 7 years, performed at conferences, and have taught students for about 2 years. I am still currently teaching piano lessons as well as note reading and music theory.

Religion

I went to a Christian university for three years and also took a World Religions class in a community college. Along with that, I also took Bible classes, Theology 1 and 2, Evangelism, and General Contemporary Christian Issues. I've traveled to over ten different countries with diverse cultures and religions, and I was able to see firsthand how religion affected cultures from others.

Sight Singing

I was in choir for about 3 years and we had to pass sight singing in order to move up. We also incorporated sign language and of course you had to know how to sight read.

Special Needs

I worked at a special needs brain camp, where we performed physical and nutritional therapy on kids and adults struggling with ADHD, ADD, Autism, Epilepsy, Quadriplegia, and Aspergers.

Study Skills

I am qualified to teach study skills because I have learned different methods that can work for students when trying to retain information. Being that I graduated with a Masters from James Madison University, I had to learn to focus, listen, and study in order to attain that degree. If my method of studying did not work, then I would try notecards, explaining it to friend, or writing the concept down over and over. Not only have I discovered this for myself, but also for my students that I have tutored in the past. Not one method works for all. You have to be flexible and ready to change the environment to visual to hands-on work if that is more suitable.

Swimming

I've been on a swim team for about 2 years straight where we learned to perfect the freestyle, breast, butterfly, and back stroke. I've taught friends to swim as well.

Violin

I had two years of violin lessons and can read music.

Volleyball

I played volleyball in high school for about two years, and also played intramural in college and grad school. I love volleyball and play every summer with friends.

Yoga

I'm a personal trainer and I do incorporate some yoga exercises and techniques as it helps with muscle endurance, balance, and breathing. Three months of P90X Yoga is what got me started.
