I have recently completed my doctorate in Political Theory and American Government and am a professor at a local university. I tutored all through graduate school and loved it and I want to continue. I specialize in higher level classes (AP and IB courses, GRE, SAT, ACT, LSAT) but I can teach many different things.

I enjoy teaching and one-on-one instruction. I think of tutoring as being an academic personal trainer, identifying a goal and helping a client reach it. Sometimes the goal is to get into a dream university. Other times it's acing a course or getting a 5 on an AP exam. Whatever the aspiration, I have a proven track record for success. Clients like me because I explain things well and I'm fun to work with.

I have formal education training, a Master's from NYU, two PhDs, and 5 years' teaching experience at the college level. Work with me, and I promise you'll see amazing results.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Religion

I have an MA and a PHD in Political Theory with a concentration on religion and politics. I have studied religions of the West as they relate to cultural changes since the fall of the Roman Empire. Finally, I'm quite familiar with the scriptures of many different religions as comprehensive knowledge of theology was a requirement for my doctorate comprehensive exams.
