I had calculus and advanced calculus for a total of 4 quarters in college. I scored in the 98% on the ACT Math test when I took it in 1965. I have earned a PhD. in chemistry. I have taken short courses on statistical design of experiments and statistics for scientists.

ACT Science covers all areas of science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, , Earth Science, Geology and Astronomy).
I will provide an overview of science and seek to determine which areas the individual student is having difficulty understanding and comprehending. Often students have difficulty with word problems in remembering the appropriate equations to solve the problem. Sometimes definitions of terms are needed that present difficulty. ACT Test taking is an art. If the student is pressed for time, they should take educated guesses if a few of the answers can be eliminated. There is helpful information on ACT Science on the internet that I will help the student locate for their studying for the exam.
General chemistry provides the foundation for further study in chemistry and should provide an understanding of the value of chemistry to the informed citizen. Students often have to learn the meaning of terms and have difficulty with word problems. Sometimes math has to be learned along with the chemistry. I will use the student's textbook supplemented with material I can supply in the tutoring sessions.
Organic Chemistry is a broad subject dealing with the chemistry of carbon and hydrogen compounds with oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen and halogens. Organic chemistry provides the foundation for studying biochemistry. Laboratory work is used to develop synthetic, separation, and identification techniques. Polymer chemistry is an advanced branch of organic chemistry. The student learns about reaction mechanism and organic nomenclature. Organic chemistry is generally required for admission to medical school.

Physical Science provides the basic information in chemistry, physics, and engineering to students. I prefer to follow their textbook and provide useful explanations and assistance with homework problems and the approach to problems solving.
Often math skills are involved in the problem solving.
Physics deals with electronics, optics, magnetism, gravity, motors, radio, television and various forms of work. Relativity, particle physics, and many more areas that are the basis for engineering are also included in physics. I will assist the student in understanding terminology, and approaches to solve word problems. Good skills in mathematics help in being successful in physics. I have completed three college courses in general physics, electronics, optics, laser physics and quantum mechanics.
The PSAT or Preliminary SAT also serves as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It covers: Critical Reading Skills; Math Problem Solving Skills; and Writing Skills. I can cover all these areas. The math skills are what concern most students. Good academic training in all high school classes is the best first approach to preparing for the PSAT.
In 1965 I scored 729 on the SAT Math. I use math in my chemical research and teaching of chemistry to college students. I scored A's in all my high school math courses. The Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills in Mathematics Exit Level Exam features test objectives. The test objectives are: Numbers and Operations; Equations and Inequalities; Functions; Geometry and Spatial Sense; Measurement; Data Analysis and Probability; and Problems Solving. I have downloaded the Mathematics Studyguide with practice tests that I will use to assist the student in learning the test objectives. I also downloaded a previous version of the TAKS Mathematics Exit Level exam that I will use to assess the students preparation and progress during the tutoring lessons. I made a grade of A in my high school math courses in algebra, advanced algebra, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
