Hello!
My name is Kelly. I am a certified teacher with a degree in Elementary Education. I have over 10 years' experience working with preschool and school age children as well as some experience working with children who have emotional and sensory difficulties. I know that patience, understanding, and flexibility are key elements with any student. If a student is losing focus or having difficulty with a topic, the need to take a short break or a change in topic maybe deemed necessary.
I adapt curriculum to meet my students’ needs by incorporating their interests and relevant life skills into their learning. For instance, when learning about money, a student goes a “shopping” with catalogs to buy chosen items with their “money.” This activity allows them to learn addition, subtraction, decimal points, handling money etc. in a more personable and meaningful way.
So whether you are four or ninety-four and looking for some additional help in your learning process, contact me today!

Creative and Energetic — Kelly continues to do a great job with our son. She makes it fun for him. You know things are going well when you tell your son his tutor is coming tonight and his response is, "Yay, I am excited!" Our son continues to enjoy his time spent with Kelly and appears to be benefiting from the experience overall. I am impressed with Kelly's adaptability and eagerness to design learning games that me ...
