Helping others is one of my passions, and tutoring allows me to do this. I have experience tutoring college students at Northern Virginia Community College, as well as tutoring children from ages 5 and up in English, math, reading and phonics. As an Economics major at the University of Mary Washington, and a former intern for many political campaigns, I also offer my services for finance, government and civics courses.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have worked with students for over a year at Huntington Learning Center, teaching them phonics, spelling, study skills and basic curriculum, while also providing them with homework help and classroom prep.

Phonics

I have tutored students at NOVA college and Huntington Learning Center, ranging in age from 5-80 in phonics instruction.

Study Skills

As a tutor at NOVA college, Huntington Learning Center and with private clients, I have worked on teaching students ages 5-80 about study skills for over a year.

Public Speaking

I have completed college courses in communications, and can furnish this for proof of public speaking skill.

As a politically active person, I've given many speeches, and am capable of helping others to develop their confidence, and pull together a speech that can be practiced upon for better speaking skills.

Marketing

I currently run my own small business marketing service. I have competed in DECA, a leadership and business organization, in Retail Marketing and other marketing events, winning first place two years in a row.

Sociology

I have completed two college courses in Sociology, and am happy to furnish them as proof.

Sociology is the study of society, on both a small and larger scale. It looks at family life, religion, societal groups, crime and deviance, political structure, the elderly and all other components that make up society.

Social Studies

In my time as a college student, I have completed 6 courses of Social Studies and History related courses, learning information on both global history and Western Civilization in detail.

I have tutored students previously on the subject, with a focus on literature and art during various parts of history.
