My love is math and children. I have worked as a paraprofessional in elementary and middle school with all students, including those in special education. I have recently finished my mathematics degree at the University of Mary Washington so that I can better help my students. Math skills are used in everyday life situations as well as in jobs, so it is really important to understand basic concepts of math. Once you understand the basics, the rest comes naturally. I love working with kids and talking to them on their level so that they can better understand and "get" math. I believe learning should be fun and rewarding yet challenging. I use repetitive techniques which help the child retain past and new material. I am very fun, friendly and patient. I am very positive and uplifting. I will do my best to help your child understand math in a very positive learning environment.
