After getting my MA at American University with a Public Health concentration from George Washington, I worked as an Editor/Writer for domestic and international health projects. As a result, I’ve written/edited health-related scientific reports for agencies such as The National Institutes of Health, the Department of Health and Human Services, HIV/AIDS Bureau, John Snow, Inc., and United States Agency for International Development. I have also developed documents, working with scientists and field staff worldwide, with special projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

My recent A+ classes include Biology, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Nutrition, and Psychology.

Two years in a Clinical Doctorate program in Physical Therapy equal many more years of high grades in advanced levels of anatomy, physiology, gross anatomy at the level of cadaver dissection, kinesthesiology, and neuroscience. I've also done clinical work and worked at some local clinics in this area.

I look forward to seeing how my skill set can best benefit you! So please let me know if I can help.

With warm regards,
Lalique

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Bible Studies

Occasionally I substitute teach for the leader of a Women's Bible Study Group at McLean Bible Church, and have been in a discipleship group named “Discipleship Essentials” since August 2011. I’ve been an active organizing member in over 15 Bible studies and discussion groups in the past 2 and a half years. And I have received numerous commendations concerning my knowledge of the Bible from elders at Immanuel Bible Church and Women’s Study Directors of McLean Bible Church.

Nutrition

Received an A (averaging above %100) for my Nutrition class at Northern Virgina Community College. I routinely got essay question bonuses, earning above 100 percent for each exam. I also Received 100% for my mid-term project, which was a complete dietary analysis using Diet Analysis Plus software.

Public Speaking

As a teen I was the President of our 12th grade Toastmaster's club, and had to give a speech and coordinate our graduation ceremony as well. This position came easily to me as I really love writing and studying English. So it was a natural extension of my love of English reading and writing.

I LOVE teaching English and have great grades=A's in all my English classes, the SATs, GREs, and actually most of my other classes as well. As a former writer and editor at the Master's degree level, I can definitely help you write as well.
