I currently own and operate several different businesses, but my favorite one is tutoring. In fact, I speak 5 different languages in varying degrees of fluency, but I prefer to teach French because it is the language in which I am most comfortable. I was fortunate enough to spend 2 years in France, first in a small village in Brittany, where I attended a French High school, and secondly, in Paris, where I was able to perfect my language abilities. Today, some 20+ years later, I have still retained my native accent and continue to seek out contacts in the Washington, D.C. area that will allow me to utilize the language on a daily basis. Additionally, one of my other companies is a chocolate business called SPECIALITES D'ELEGANCE. This allows me to maintain my fluency, as I am called on to speak French on a daily basis, when dealing with the factory who supplies my business. I welcome students of all ages: the youngest one I teach currently is 6 years old while the oldest one is 77 years old. One of my greatest sources of satisfaction is being able to work with adults who are MOTIVATED to learn French again after a long hiatus. I provide the same emphasis on correct pronunciation and vocab development, as I do with my school-age students. It is SO important to be able to say things CORRECTLY!! And, with the proper instruction, virtually ANYONE can learn correct pronunciation.
While there are many language tutors in this area, the old adage applies: you get what you pay for. TRY ME BEFORE YOU BUY ME! I am pleased to offer a FREE INTRODUCTORY SESSION to acquaint you with the calibre and quality of my teaching.
