I am a mother of three first honors students, and can find the angle you need to understand math. I can also help with chemistry on the high school and college level. I have a BS in Polymer Chemistry with a minor in mathematics. I took the honors course program in both mathematics and chemistry. I have even been a head laboratory chemist. I have been doing tutoring work since middle school. I do have a tendency to give extra work when I am not around, but nothing over a few minutes per day. I can show examples of the why it works this way, simple rhymes of rules, or even a silly song. The longer I work with a student the better my approach becomes fitted to you.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT Math

This test determines your college future, and you need someone with experience that will not bog you down. Get the helping touch no book can give and secure you college of choice.

Algebra 1

This beginning of higher math is the first step of the basic foundations. I can help you find a foothold or just explain that one concept that does not quite click.

Algebra 2

The basics still continue, but you are used to letters in math now...or perhaps not. Finding the key to you understanding and helping you use equations that will haunt your finances forever. Or maybe it was just that one little concept you missed, I can help.

Chemistry

I not only passed the AP chemistry exam with top score, I spent five years actually working in various lab positions. I have a degree in this field. Combined with my knowledge and enjoyment of chemistry, I can help even the most hesitant pass this subject which is too often a stumbling block for other interests.

Elementary Math

The basic groundings of math that are so essential to everyday life, I will help you understand these and ready any student for higher math.

GED

A test that offers a second chance of such importance. Let me assist you in finding that goal.

Geometry

A tricky subject that requires minute attention to detail. Get help not mixing sine and cosine various odd relations.

Prealgebra

I make this early math set understandable to those who find the vague questions to over worded messes confusing. Stark equations with no meaning to word problems with distracting tricks will no longer fool you.

Precalculus

This subject helps lay the foundation for understanding calculus, make sure that foundation is strong for the advanced mathematics required by all technological areas.

PSAT

Perfection is in practice, but only good practice. Let me help you prepare for the road ahead.

SAT Math

This test decides so much of ones college eligible. Perhaps math is your strong suit or you worry that your language skills will go unnoticed with a one sided score this help will open the doors of opportunity that you could otherwise miss.

The first step to answering this question is to simplify the equation. This means making sure that all terms are reduced. In this case the second term is not reduced. Once that is done, there is already a common denominator. From there you can simply add the two terms then reduce.  ((4x-3))/5+...

I find that mole fractions are one of the most frequently forgotten steps in chemical conversions. Rather between balancing equations or finding the amount of a certain element in the compound. This step is always nice easy ratios but they through off the whole answer. Here is a good example below. 1H2SO4 + 2NaOH ?1Na2SO4 + 2H2O So in this simple acid base reaction, there are... read more
