Greetings! My name is Margaret; my nickname is Peggy. I am a certified ESL teacher - English as a Second Language (TESOL, TESL, TEFL), through Oxford Seminars. As of January 2014, I am also certified to tutor online through WyzAnt Tutoring, which is a convenient option for distance students or for local students.

My teaching experience includes: English and ESL, voice presentation/public speaking, performing and visual arts, study/organizational skills, and event management.

My Bachelor of Arts degree is in Business Management, with a focus on Arts Management, from Vermont College, Union Institute & University. My professional experience includes a diversity of areas: teaching, writing, performing and visual arts, marketing, public relations, and business administration.

It is always enjoyable to meet and teach a diversity of students in different styles of classrooms, which have included: public and private schools, theaters, arts and recreational organizations, and as Adjunct Faculty for Continuing Adult Education programs at Virginia community colleges.

I have experienced living and working internationally. I have also worked in the U.S. as District Coordinator for a student exchange program, placing international students with Host Families and overseeing the well-being and cultural adjustments of over 100 students.

Engaging in the creative process of learning can be very interesting and rewarding for both teacher and student. I adapt my teaching methods to the individual student's needs and learning abilities, and often integrate the use of the arts as tools in learning. This technique also aids students with their other studies, developing their minds and hearts, and making the educational experience more enjoyable.

If requested, I can assist students with presentation skills. Whether they are young children, teens or adult professionals, this guidance will provide them with strong communication tools and confidence.

She works softly which makes the learning easier. We've been talking about everything and we laugh a lot, besides that, she's a great person. Amazing tutor! Peggy is a great teacher. With the classes, she makes ...
