I teach trigonometry to many students each year, at all levels, as it is in algebra II, IB math, precalculus and repeated in calculus. I taught this subject at Rutgers University as math faculty. I show students methods to truly understand the trig functions, and how to derive most of the important formulae from basic principles, so that they do not panic at test time. I work with students to improve their vocabularies with a variety of techniques, including root words, vocabulary practice and test taking. I am familiar with French, Italian, Spanish and German; with these languages I help students find cognates and other methods to retain new vocabulary words.
