My name is Adelaida and I received a Bachelor's of Arts from Old Dominion University. My major is International Studies and my minors are Community Health and Psychology. I participated in many programs at the university level which prepared me in the personal and academic level to be a great tutor. I was the president of an student organization on campus that promotes diversity and intercultural relations among students. I obtained a certificate from the national Bacchus Network Organization as a Peer Health Educator.
I have the ability to communicate fluently in the Spanish and English language, and at the intermediate level in French. I have outstanding writing and communication skills, which allow me to do well in most subjects and articulate greatly when alternating between the languages. I enjoy teaching students at any level of learning the language, and I consider tutoring encounters very advantageous for perfection of the lessons. In the professional level, I consider myself very organized and punctual with my students. I always have my teaching tools ready before I meet with them so that they can learn more and interact better with their tutor.
As a trilingual person I value greatly the importance of communication in different languages during the era of globalization. Our society is experiencing the most diversity and international relationships than ever before. Therefore I believe in the importance of being well educated and being able to speak, read and write in language other than our first language.
