General computer hardware and software familiarity including basic network concepts like wireless and broadband connections.

Networking (Computer)

Computer networks; fundamentals to the complex. From Ethernet to Broadband, and WiFi to MiFi.

My networking experience began during employment with GTSI, Inc. (1997) of Chantilly, VA. 3Com 3+ Share was the first NOS I became familiar with, offering XNS as the transport mechanism over thin Ethernet or twisted pair typologies. Later I completed the Novell Netware (3.x and 4.x) CNE certification, and continuing with a Microsoft MCSE using TCPIP over twisted pair (CAT 5, 5e, 6) implementations...

DOS

My personal familiarity with PC DOS (v2.x, 3.x) began in 1986 with 'on the job' training in the Integration department for Math Box, Inc. of Chantilly, VA. Later while at GTSI, Inc. of Chantilly, VA as a Field Service Technician, MS DOS (v.4.x, 5.x, 6.x) became the dominant disk operating system for PC's and clones until Windows 286, and later Windows v3.x began appearing.
