Hi, I am a junior at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. I study business and hospitality. I am home for the summer and would love to tutor in Math, English, or Italian. I personally took the ACT 3 times and the SAT once when applying to colleges. In Ithaca, NY, where I go to college now, I taught a weekly prep class for the SAT for students at the local high school. My approach to SAT and ACT tutoring is to help you learn how to approach each type of question you can expect and improve your pace as well as your accuracy. I will help you digest each question faster and better and teach you some tricks for improving your multiple choice skills.
I lived in Italy for 12 months and speak fluent Italian. I am passionate about Italian and love teaching it to others. While I lived in Italy, I taught an English class to Italians at the local high school. I also have experience tutoring Italian students in America. I became fluent in Italian when I was 16, and I have taken some additional college courses on Italian literature and romance language linguistics. My knowledge of linguistics helps me draw connections between French, Spanish, and Italian. Therefore, if you already know a romance language, I could help you see the similarities. If not, I can also help you learn Italian on its own.
I have an internship in DC this summer, so I am busy during the weekdays. However, I am happy to tutor in the evenings and/or on the weekends.
