After studying English at the British Council in St. Petersburg, Russia, I developed my love for sharing the wonders of foreign languages and the cultures. I have many diverse experiences with linguistics having guided tourists through St. Petersburg's royal palaces, art galleries, historical settings, and the most scrumptious Russian cafes and bakeries. When not divulging the most delightful secrets of St. Petersburg to visitors, I tutored both high schoolers and adults privately in English for several years before I left for the United States.
In the United States, I pursued a major in French and taught Russian at Mississippi State University while helping the local church with their foreign exchange student program involving Belorussian children. I also had the opportunity to tutor many Americans, who have continued their studies at the University of St. Petersburg, Russia.
Through my tutoring, I am able to offer my students a unique cultural experience as I infuse grammar and the arts into an exciting and lively curriculum. I believe learning a language should be a fun and a rewarding challenge. I would love to share my knowledge with other students and am flexible to suit their schedules and needs.
I also am a mom myself and am fluent in the the language of teenagers.
