Area of expertise: Photography and graphics design. Over 15 years experience in this field in the corporate environment as well as personal business. Familiar with film and digital cameras, conventional darkroom, as well as processing in Adobe Photoshop and LightRoom. Can teach basic photography that will encompass such topics as, shutter speed, f-stop, depth of field, exposure, composition, working in a theme and technical aspects associated with the digital camera such as white balance, file formats, etc. I can also teach basic design layout skills in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. For example, newsletters, brochures, working with type, wrapping text around graphics, etc.
Attributes: I have a lot of patience and love sharing knowledge. I enjoy helping students reach their potential through hands-on exercises.
Education: Associates degree in commercial photography and am pursing a bachelor's through the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (on-line program).
I am also interested in tutoring elementary subjects such as math, english, reading, and spelling. I love elementary school-aged children and watching them learn and grow, particularly children who are behind or don't catch on easily.
