I am a law student at the University of Houston Law Center. I have recently graduated undergrad with honors from George Mason University and arrived in Houston full of ambition and excitement. I am passionate about learning and helping others to succeed academically. My scores in the SAT and LSAT exams are both in the 99th and 97th percentiles, and I have always done well in standardized tests. However, I believe that these exams can be learned, regardless of your current ability. I have seen drastic improvements in test scores by taking the time to thoroughly understand the material and 'unlocking' the secrets behind the test. Furthermore, I have successful helped students to dramatically increase their scores as well! If test anxiety is your concern, I believe that anxiety stems from a lack of confidence. Lets take the time to work together and understand the material so that you can go in on test day with utmost confidence.
I also am an avid reader of classic novels. I can summarize and help you with any literature assignment. I am a huge fan of Hemingway and Alexandre Dumas!
Most importantly, I would like to offer the type of tutoring that I wished I had during my high school and undergraduate years... that is, a personalized approach. I had to teach myself and spent many hours doing so. Every tutor I found would come in with his/her own philosophy and plan, however they wouldn't take into account my personal strengths and weaknesses. I will take the time to understand where you are at currently, and to formulate a plan with you to take you to exactly where you want to go in your academic endeavors. Whether you wish to score above a 2200 in the SAT, to deeply understand the nuances of Ernest Hemingway and his 'lost generation' outlook, or to ace your upcoming history exam, I will work with you and teach you in a personalized way.
