I look forward to helping college and high school students master economics. I tutor for introductory college and advanced placement microeconomics and macroeconomics.
Whether you see your economics studies as a stepping stone to a career or as something an educated person needs to know about, I can help you overcome any difficulties that might be holding you back from a deeper appreciation of the subject.
I remember very well the impression that microeconomics 101 made on me: the mathematical skills used were mind-boggling at first! Yet it was exciting to master these skills. While there must be mathematics, insight into economic concepts and the roles played by economics in government and business analysis is equally important.
I bring to tutoring both academic mastery of the subject and a wide range of practical application experience. I have a MA in economics from GWU and a PhD in economics from University of Maryland. I also have worked on a variety of jobs calling for economic and policy analysis in the nonprofit sector and, mainly, the Federal government.
Most of all, my hope is to help the student move ahead in economics no matter what the need may be.
