I am a certified history teacher with an extensive background as an educator, coach, and tutor. I currently teach World History II, and have also taught World History I, American History, and Government as a long-term sub. I was also a long-term sub for special education in a co-taught classroom.
I have subbed for many subjects at the elementary, middle, and high school level. I have coached JV football and JV soccer, and consider myself well-qualified in both areas. My tutoring experience includes working with students with special needs, and encompasses Algebra I and II, Geometry, Earth Science, World History, English/Literature, and Bible study. I can also help with organization skills, study skills, and test preparation for major tests such as the SAT and ACT.
I have attended football clinics and seminars. I also coached JV football for two years.
My background and experience in soccer includes four years of playing, plus one year of coaching at the JV level. I also have assisted as a volunteer in the past.
I am currently teaching World History II, which is an SOL course. I taught World History I last year, which was also an SOL course. I am quite familiar with the state DOE website, as well as specific curriculum frameworks and SOL objectives.
