Much more than just a tutor...

I am a former teacher with experience in private Christian classical and university-model schools. I loved these approaches and plan to incorporate them in teaching my own children (soon!).

I am currently expanding to offer evening appointments for English (including reading, writing, grammar, and literature), social studies/history, Latin I, public speaking, and SAT-type preparation.

Additionally, I offer instruction in essay writing and proofreading skills for middle and high-school students, undergraduates, and postgraduates. I also offer my time as a proofreader and editor for undergraduate and postgraduate papers, dissertations, etc.

I am now providing services for homeschooling families and groups, including curriculum preparation, tutoring, and individual or group classroom instruction. I am available to tutor or teach in any of the fields of study listed above, but am also open to additional courses on an individual basis (I've also taught art, Earth science, rhetoric, and proctored senior thesis projects, so don't be afraid to challenge me!). I am familiar with a variety of textbook publishers and educational approaches and am always looking to broaden my field of knowledge and understanding.

My educational background is outstanding. I graduated with honors from the University of London with an MA in Medieval studies and with honors from Pensacola Christian College with a BA in English and minor in Journalism. I have also taken the Praxis II English exam and scored a 100% - the highest possible score on the test.

Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon about your educational needs!
