Hi, my name is Aliaa. I make a conscious effort to integrate the Arabic and Middle East cultural aspects into the teaching materials, methods and approaches which I adopt in the classroom. Coming from a Middle Eastern background, I know very well what does boredom means within a classroom environment. I believe a teacher without a sense of humor will never be able to inspire or promote her students. My goal as an instructor is to build the students self confidence through breaking the fear of the language barrier.
As a teacher who seeks building the self confidence of his students and strives to develop their critical thinking skills through what I call "creativity exercises", the American liberal education system is a golden chance to teach my native tongue through its cultural context. It is the perfect medium for inspiring and empowering my students.
Although, I believe the learning process is individual by nature. Students differ in their abilities, talents, intellectual needs and educational backgrounds. Only a flexible teacher with a wide intellectual background can adapt his approaches to accommodate his students differences and achieve his main goal of teaching them a new language.
