I am currently a theology teacher at Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington Virginia. I try to make my classes engaging, challenging, and thought provoking. I have my M.A. in theology/religious studies but I also studied philosophy and anthropology for my B.A. I think that my wide background is useful in relating to students on an everyday level, while at the same time I possess the necessary knowledge in my field.
I have traveled extensively through Europe, including studying for a semester in Rome. I have been on archaeological digs and missionary trips to foreign countries. I was an active athlete in college and continue to enjoy playing sports like tennis and basketball. My tutoring methods would consist of reading some difficult yet accessible material related to our topic, and then discussing and writing about it.
My experience in reading, writing and academia affords me a background that I can share with students who want to better their critical thinking and writing skills. If you have any further questions or concerns about a particular project, class, or subject that I could help with please send me a message.
