I am a very bubbly person with a passion for working with children. After obtaining my Bachelor's Degrees in English and Sociology at the College of William & Mary, I am now working towards my Master's Degree in Special Education (K-12) from Marymount University.
I have worked with children in and outside of the classroom. My direct teaching experience comes from my time spent as a tutor for local schools in the Williamsburg area and working as a substitute for Loudoun County Public Schools.
In addition to my time spent in the classroom I worked for three years as a sailing camp instructor for the Mathews YMCA. I have spent time volunteering with local girl scout troops and working as a nanny the summer after graduating from William & Mary.
I have worked with children of all ages and learning capacities. I strive to find learning tools and methods that are specific for each child, because we all learn in different ways. I believe that it is important to empower a student and explore their strengths as well as pinpointing areas that require more practice.
I am open to tutoring multiple subjects and would love the privilege to work with you and your child.
