My name is Shane K., and I am currently a student, soccer coach, and a Public Health Training Assistant for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). I work at the John S. Davis Center which is an FCPS center for job skills and independent living skills for special needs students.
I am also a travel soccer coach for Vienna Youth Soccer. I attended George Mason University and was part of the University Scholars Program (25 students each year are admitted for a full academic scholarship). I recently graduated from GMU with a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and am now pursuing my Master's in Education from the Curry School of Education at University of Virginia (NOVA Campus).
I have in-depth experience in various subjects. Math and sciences are my two strongest points. (I have scored above the 80th percentile on all standardized tests scores including SAT, ACT, Regents [New York standardized tests] and GRE.)
Also, I have thorough knowledge of architecture and construction. I worked in contracting and roofing for over six years and was also a dedicated architecture student. I am experienced in CAD (Computer Aided Software) as well as ADOBE suites and Microsoft office packages.
I was a member of the Big Buddy program throughout high school (Big brother/little brother program) and also headed the annual Special Olympics event at my high school.
I strive for perfection but also have a love and passion for teaching and development of students.
