Hi, my name is Will, and I am a High School Mathematics teacher and tutor. I believe that everyone is able to learn and grow, and I really enjoy helping students break down and analyze tasks in order to understand difficult concepts.
After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University, I went to work as an Environmental Scientist for a government contractor. After a while, I realized that although my work was meaningful, I wanted to give back and help others more directly. I decided to become a high school teacher. I went back to school and earned my Master's Degree in Transition Special Education from The George Washington University, got a job with Fairfax County Public Schools, and have never looked back. I can truly say that I have found a job I love.
I specialize in Geometry, which I currently teach full-time, and I also have experience teaching and tutoring Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. I have tutored a wide range of students, from elementary school to high school. I have worked with students of all levels of ability and have extensive experience working with students with disabilities (LD, ED, Autism, ADD/ADHD, etc.).
If you would like to schedule a session, please send me a message. I look forward to working with you.
Thanks for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Will
