English, Composition, and History Tutoring from a Friendly Academic

Hello! I am both a teacher and a student myself, and so I understand both sides of the experience. I am currently writing my dissertation for my PhD in History at Catholic University in DC, have taught as an adjunct professor at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD, and am currently teaching as an adjunct at Montgomery College. I also have four years of teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant at Catholic University and George Mason University. I love teaching and tutoring because I get to interact with a wide variety of people, and to help people learn and improve themselves. In addition to my background in history, I was a double major in History and Literature in college. Because of my years of writing papers in grad school, I have a strong grasp of academic writing and can easily help people improve their writing style and express themselves more effectively. I can also offer tips for getting rid of grammatical errors and awkward phrases that might damage a person's writing style. I look forward to meeting you!
