Study Skills

It takes a great amount of dedication and strong study skills to become successful. Studying takes focus which can be difficult for some individuals. Testing can lead to anxiety for those with poor study skills. With my high cumulative GPA, over 3.5 for both BS and MS degrees, I believe I can teach the amount of skills and knowledge vital for success.

Theatre

In high school, I was active in 7 out of 8 major productions. I had a signing role as an actor, roles as an extra, dancing roles, lighting and sound crew, theatrical filming, and stage crew experiences. Discrete Math

With an MS Degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, I have aced a wide variety of courses related to graph theory, discrete mathematics, and combinatorics in college. I believe I can assist students in grasping a better understanding of these concepts.

Sign Language

I have taken five years of one-on-one instruction in American Sign Language and have also highly witnessed sign language interpreting as an individual who is deaf or hard-of-hearing. In addition, I have some practical experience working with translating songs into sign language. I believe I can provide great help to those who desire exposure to the language.

SAS

I have obtained an MS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. In my graduate studies, I have further developed my skills in SAS software. I am able to do a wide variety of programming skills including extensive macros and development of other documents. I will be able to assist in training individuals who are hoping to pick up knowledge of SAS software.

Biostatistics

I was originally a Bioinformatics major for a few years before I transferred to Applied Mathematics and Statistics. I have training in both Biological Sciences and Statistics. I also participated in a statistical genetic research internship where I had a paper published in collaboration with other statisticians.

Hard Of Hearing

As an individual who is deaf or hard of hearing and graduated in the top 3% of a hearing school, I can truly help improve the education of those with my physical condition.

Linear Algebra

I have taken Matrix Algebra and Applied Algebra with an A in each, along with a B+ in Graduate Linear Algebra. I believe that I can help students succeed with their classes in linear and matrix algebra.

Logic

Among the favorite topics in high school algebra/geometry for a tutor with an MS degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, I can help mathematical students with tautologies and logic laws/proofs.

Microsoft Windows

I have been approved for Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I also have years of experience utilizing the Microsoft Windows environment and can help individuals who are new to this.

Regents

I have taken a wide variety of Regents examinations and have obtained at least a 92 on all examinations taken in high school. I believe I can assist in reducing anxiety for those about to take these examinations.
