I demand a lot from my students and tell them exactly what they need to do in order to understand the material. I also tell them the types of behaviors which will result in failures.
I've tutored (Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, Calculus I & II, Statistics) for the George Mason Athletics Department and have a record of tutoring students with multiple levels of comprehension and experience. I've been told multiple times by my students that "I wish my teacher had just said that in the first place." I firmly believe that most math teachers are simply "bad" and that they don't remember what it's like not to know a subject.
I've worked at think tanks and have extensive experience with Excel and data manipulation. I highly recommend this skill to anyone in school or who works with large data sets (especially economic data).
I'm currently a PhD Economics student at GMU and have a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Finance. I also do economic & methodological consulting for researchers at think tanks who are not experts in economics.
