A native of Ridgefield, Connecticut, classical guitarist Christopher W. holds a Bachelors of Music Performance degree from Western Connecticut State University and a Masters of Music Performance degree from Shenandoah Conservatory. Chris W. has also studied at the Mannes School of Music in New York City.
With 10 years of solo, as well as chamber and ensemble playing experience, Chris W.'s repertoire ranges from Bach to the Beatles, with classical music receiving most of his attention. He has performed extensively at venues throughout the Northeast including St. Paul's Chapel and St. Peter's Church in New York City. In addition to his studies and his performance interests, he has been teaching guitar students for over ten years. Chris W. is currently teaching throughout the Metropolitan DC area.
I have been performing and teaching on the guitar for the past 12 years. My students have ranged in age from 6-80. I have an undergraduate degree in guitar performance from Western Connecticut State University and a masters in Guitar from Shenandoah Conservatory.
I enjoy teaching all styles of music. I strive to teach my students the music they want to learn while at the same time giving them a strong background in guitar technique and music theory.
