Biostatistics
I am well versed in basic to advanced biostatistics concepts, definitions, theorems, tests, graphical analysis, modeling and software solutions (SAS, SPSS, Splus, R, Matlab, C, etc.). Other expertise includes clinical trial design, survival analysis, Bayesian analysis, logistic regression and Cox proportional harzard models. I have over ten years of experience in the field, and a Ph.d. in Statistics from University of California.
Chinese
I am fluent in spoken, written Mandarin Chinese. Graduated from top Chinese university before came to US to pursue higher degree. I am a native from Beijing, China, had been student newspaper journalists, won writing competitions, and grown up in family with both parents were teachers of Chinese. I have excellent English communication skill, had been teaching in US universities and private seminars.
Econometrics
I can assist with basic to advanced econometric concepts, definitions, theorems, tests, graphical analysis, modeling and software solutions (SAS, SPSS, Splus, R, Matlab, C, etc.). I have advanced expertise include Linear regression, generalized linear models, Tobit, time series (ARIMA, ARCH, GARCH), vector autoregression, co-integration, logistic regression and Cox proportional hazard models. I have over ten years of experience in the field. Ph.d. in Statistics from University of California.
Probability
I am knowledgeable of basic probability laws, calculations based on equal likelihoods, relative frequencies and subjective methods. Combination and permutation problems; Conidtional probabilities; Bayesian analysis; Discrete and continuous random variables, eg. binomial distribution, Poisson distriubtuion, exponential distriubtion, Normal distriubution, Beta, t, Chi-square etc.; Calculations of expected and variance of all random variables; Monte Carlo simulations; Stochastic analysis.
SAS
From basic to the most advanced SAS programming techniques, statistical modeling methods, data management and SQL/ETL applications. I have over 20 years of experience of programming SAS, handled tasks ranging from pharmaceutical trials to mortgage default, credit risk modeling in the largest US mortgage company, to federal government monthly survey analysis of over 600,000 records per month. Certified SAS programmer by SAS Institute, inc.
SPSS
From basic to the most advanced SPSS analysis techniques, interpretation of results, statistical modeling methods, data management applications. Over 20 years of experience of using SPSS, with Ph.D. in Statistics, I handled tasks ranging from clinical trials to marketing studies for one of the largest telecom companies in the country, to federal government monthly survey analysis of over 600,000 records per month. Proficient in all aspect of SPSS, I have taught numerous times in classrooms the subject in the past 15 years.
