I have taught and tutored for over 20 years in K-12 and Adult private and public schools. Currently I am certified in Virginia and Maryland in Art, ESL, and English. Along with teaching Adult GED courses, and taking ACT, Masters Comprehensives, and the National Board Teachers Certification Exam, I have taught ESL in Intensive English Institutes (IEPs) to assist teens and adults in language skills to take the TOEFL. Suzette demonstrated patience and calmness with our granddaughter. These attributes produced a surprising effect by keeping our 8 year old granddaughter interested and engaged and excited for two hours. Wonderful!

Monday's lesson (7/2) with Suzette was as successful as the two before. She works extremely well with our 8-year old granddaughter and despite her being tired, Suzette was able to still keep her interested in the project through making it fun.
Monday's lesson (7/23) with Suzette was most satisfying and acceptable. Suzette continues to demonstrate exceptional patience with Alex. Alex is easily distracted and Suzette has kept her focused on her art efforts without ever demonstrating any irritation. Her interaction with Alex has been very positive.
After spend 60 min this past Saturday with Suzette I realize how important is you communication skills and the capacity of shift properly between languages for those that are bilingual like me. Suzette helped me to correct my Spoken-English by monitoring, she wrote down what I spoke regarding a subject and guided to make sound more make sense and corrected grammar mistakes. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
