I don't know of anyone that enjoys learning more than I do, and helping others to learn is a feeling beyond joy.
But the structure of the public school systems with their overcrowded classrooms, lack of teacher imagination, and bad children who damage the learning experience for other students can be too much for some young minds. Even in adult classrooms, the teachers read directly from the text and want their students to "think outside of the box" when their own lessons don't encourage this behavior. Or, there's one or two students who rob precious class time with telling of their own experiences in every scenario that the professor discusses rather than allowing the teacher to teach, leaving you, as fellow student, wishing there was more lesson time.
This is where I come in.
I can supplement material learned in the classroom and bring that imagination and wonder into it so that the student will love school, just as I have, regardless of their age. I can help you to retain knowledge using tools to see things from a different point of view. With that lateral point of view, nothing will separate you from mastery.
For obvious reasons, I am more adept at teaching material that I love. Luckily, I love a wide variety of subjects including:
o English (reading comprehension, writing [including brainstorming, pre-writing, structure], vocabulary, and spelling)
o Math (arithmetic, geometry, pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and statistics)
o Science (physical science, chemistry, biology, anatomy/physiology, astronomy, and physics)
o Programming (HTML, Visual Basic, SQL, and C++)
o Music (vocal technique and performance, theory)
I can also help with studying for the preparation of structured exams like the GED, ASVAB, Praxis, GRE, and entrance exams for high school or college (SAT & ACT).
