Hi! I have always loved science and math and teaching those subjects to others. I especially love helping people get to that "aha!" moment when it suddenly makes sense. Sure, the end product is the right answer, but even more important is knowing how to get there, and I'll make sure you do. You can be sure I'll explain things in a way you can understand. I have a degree in chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (magna cum laude) and have worked in several fields, including science, agriculture and development work.
In the science world, I have worked as a materials scientist for GE, as well as several lab tech jobs, and currently I am an R&D scientist in Radford. For three years, I lived in two African countries with my family, teaching and mentoring nationals in conservation agriculture. In my spare time I enjoy playing piano and guitar, growing vegetables and hanging out with my wife and kids.
