Don't struggle through or "just get by" another school year or college semester. Together we can take your skills to the next level. My style is simple. I use technology, common sense, practical examples, humor, and patience with a "no quit" attitude. I believe in the fact that we can learn what we do not know, and we can master the knowledge with practice.

I have over 15 years of tutoring experience. My students have performed excellent in academic grading and standardized testing. My goal as a tutor is to make sure students learn and master the concepts, then use the concepts to solve problems presented in different formats. This approach allows students to expand skill set to solve any problem fast and accurate. Once the confidence is developed, it gives students the abilities which helps further in learning.

When it comes to studying for standardized test it is important to have enough practice on the material. With practice it becomes the second nature to understand the problem fast and solve it correctly. This allows you to not only solve problems fast and accurately and you always have time to review the work. In simple words it is the practice that makes you perfect so I use this approach to prepare the students.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT Math

The ACT Mathematics Test is a 60-question, 60-minute test designed to measure the mathematical skills students have typically acquired in courses taken by the end of 11th grade.

The test presents multiple-choice questions that require you to use reasoning skills to solve practical problems in mathematics.

You need knowledge of basic formulas and computational skills to answer the problems, but you aren't required to know complex formulas and perform extensive computation.

Algebra 1

The main goal of this course is to provide students with a thorough and extensive study of linear and quadratic functions and graphing on the xy-coordinate system. By the end of this course, students will have all the knowledge necessary to solve and graph equations and inequalities. They will also be able to apply this knowledge to other areas of math, such as word problems, ratios and proportions.

Algebra 2

This course is designed to build on algebraic and geometric concepts. It develops advanced algebra skills such as systems of equations, advanced polynomials, imaginary and complex numbers, quadratics, and concepts and includes the study of trigonometric functions. It also introduces matrices and their properties.

ASVAB

I have helped a number of students achieve the desired scores in ASVAB so they can get the field of their choice. I have 15 years of Math tutoring experience, Electrical engineering and MBA degree that provide me the knowledge and tutoring skills to help the student get the best score at ASVAB.

Business

I did MBA work from ODU 2007-2009 with 3.9 GPA. I have helped a number of students with Business classes at Graduate level. I have engineering work back ground and currently in the management role at my job have completed a number of training and courses related to Business Management.

Calculus

Students in this course will:
Work with functions represented in a variety of ways: graphical, numerical, analytical, or verbal. They should understand the connections among these representations.
Understand the meaning of the derivative in terms of a rate of change and local linear approximation and they should be able to use derivatives to solve a variety of problems.
Understand the meaning of the definite integral both as a limit of Riemann sums and as the net accumulation of change and should be able to use integrals to solve a variety of problems.
Understand the relationship between the derivative and the definite integral as expressed in both parts of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
Communicate mathematics both orally and in well-written sentences and be able to explain solutions to problems.
Model a written description of a physical situation with a function, a differential equation, or an integral.
Use technology to help solve problems, experiment, interpret results, and verify conclusions.
Determine the reasonableness of solutions, including sign, size, relative accuracy, and units of measurement.
Develop an appreciation of calculus as a coherent body of knowledge and as a human accomplishment.

Computer Science

I have been working in the IT field for last 15 years. I am MCSA and MCSE certified. My current full time job as Infrastructure and system engineer provides me hands on experience with network technology. I have build the networks for small companies to large corporations from ground up. These installs were for the office setup to very large Data Center setup. I have working experience with different vendors network technologies. I have taken programming classes during my undergraduate and deal with programming and scripting on a daily basis.

Econometrics

I completed MBA from Old Dominion University (2007-2009) and completed all the elective classes in Econometrics. I successfully completed the following courses

a. ECON 604 Managerial ECON/INT Trade (Micro)
b. ECON 612 Global/Applied Macroeconomics
c. ECON 703 Advanced ECON Analysis MACRO

All these involve lot of Econometrics and analysis. I have tutored a number of students in the past for the Econometrics.

Geometry

This course is designed to emphasize the study of the properties and applications of common geometric figures in two and three dimensions. It includes the study of transformations and right triangle trigonometry. Inductive and deductive thinking skills are used in problem solving situations, and applications to the real world are stressed. It also emphasizes writing proofs to solve (prove) properties of geometric figures. Students who complete Geometry should take Algebra II next.

GMAT

A graduate management education gives you the skills, preparation, and credentials you need to accelerate your career growth. I have helped so many students in the GMAT to get them the desired score. The focus will be to learn the concepts that build the mathematical problems as this is the skill that is tested.

GRE

I have helped a number of students for GRE General Test to get them the desired score in the Quantitative section of the exam.

The focus is to learn the Mathematical concepts that are used to build the math problems and comparative analysis. I have the education, skills and knowledge to preset the conceptual material in different math problem formats so students master the concept.

Linear Algebra

I have very strong math skills and Linear Algebra is no different that other areas on mathematics. I have taught a number of students on Linear Algebra and have the skills and knowledge to solve questions and build liner equations to solve word problems.

Linux

I have worked in the IT field for last 15 years. I am MCSA and MCSE certified. My current full time job as Infrastructure and system engineer provides me hands on experience with network technology.
