I am a Persian/American citizen who came to USA in 1977 as student. After I finished my education in American University and UDC in Washington, D.C. and earned a master degree in Business Administration, MBA, I got a job with the United Nations refugee agency, UNHCR. Because of my Farsi language I was assigned to Iran. My experiences in teaching, translation, and interpretation started there. During 15 years working with UN in different capacity especially as a liaison officer, I used to participate in the meetings frequently arranged separately between UN officials and government authorities, implementing partners, Afghan and Iraqi community leaders,to translate English to Farsi and vice versa.
At the same time, I used to teach the UN ex-patriots who were in Iran and wants to learn Farsi while they were there.
I returned to USA in 2006 to rejoin my family. I have three children who are going to collage at the present time.
