Dear Prospective Student,

I hope you are ready to learn, gain confidence and increase your problem solving skills, all while raising your grades!

I offer tutoring sessions for all high school math subjects—from pre-algebra to AP calculus. I have been tutoring various levels of math for 6 years now. We can work together to significantly improve your scores and grades.

I have very flexible hours and am happy to come work with you wherever is most convenient. I can meet you at a library, coffee shop or even your house whatever is most comfortable for you!

I truly believe that math can be fun and easy if it's broken down for you in a way that you can comprehend it. I believe that there is a way to learn math for everyone and I look forward to finding out which way works best for you. Even if you just need a little reminder of math you used to know, I'm happy to help you remember the fundamentals. I feel very strongly about help students succeed in math because I believe a true understanding of math can make many other subjects and future studies easier and more rewarding.

I graduated from University of Virginia with a degree in economics and mathematics. While in college, I tutored calculus to many students. Since graduating I have begun to tutor again and being new to the area I am currently working to expand my number of students.

I believe that everyone can learn math and value it as a problem solving tool. I expect my students to be open about their needs, concerns and communicate what works well for them. In return I promise to be an engaged tutor who does my best to cater to your needs.

Thanks and good luck,

Hope

I'm extremely sorry for the misunderstanding. You see, I regularly and happily stay longer than an hour and rather than charging for the hour and 15, I only charge for a hour. The flipside of this is that I prefer not to have lessons less than an hour and occasionally round up. I have never had any other client complain about this, as it is very reasonable. In your case, I immediately changed it to 45 minutes the second you complained. I believe this is in fact the professional solution.

As far as not immediately responding to your son, as you yourself said, I usually respond immediately. Unfortunately when your son texted me, I was dealing with a family emergency and not regularly checking my phone. I of course would have texted your son to apologize for this but I am currently out of town - as I had previously mentioned to him and wasn't planning on doing it until I got back. I have voided your lesson, which I think is more than fair.
