Hello! I am a passionate and committed student. My academic and professional aspirations lie in the foreign policy field, and I feel very strongly that the promotion of strong foreign policy in the US is in part based on American students' access to foreign language and cultural studies. With this in mind, I am excited to share my passions for French and history as a tutor.
I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia with high distinction in French and history. I also have classroom experience through service as a teacher intern in Henrico County Public Schools and through a career as a software trainer for a wide range of government agencies. In college, I led two service trips for university students, one to assist in a Trinidadian school where we also learned about Trinidad's education system, and the other to a middle school in Prince George's County. Additionally, I worked for six summers as a camp counselor at a rock climbing and kayaking camp in Richmond, Virginia. In one week sessions, we hoped to teach the campers about the technical aspects of rock climbing and kayaking while instilling in them a love for outdoor adventure sports and promoting self-confidence.
I am a lifelong learner committed to helping students engage with their education, and I hope to share my passions for French and history. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
