I have a Bachelor's degree in Physics and I'm currently pursuing a MFA in English with a concentration on writing. I have taught introductory physics and math at the college level. I'm proud to have made subjects that seem impenetrable more accessible to all students.
My core believe is that most subjects-including physics, math, writing and software--can be understood and master by ANYONE provided that:
They are willing to spend some time to work on the subject. No one learns with out some work.
They have a teacher or tutor that takes the time to explain the subject in a way that the student gets it. That eureka moment is important when explaining a complex subject.
Teacher and student have a plan to follow up the lessons with practice, usually problems, exercises, writing assignments, etc.
This has always been my core belief when teaching and it has proved very successful.
