I have seven years of teaching experience. I am now a Mandarin teacher at the State Department. I teach diplomats who are going to work in China. I have developed excellent classroom management and student engagement skills by teaching more than 1000 students over the past seven years. I not only understand student needs and difficulties, but also analyze them individually in order to help them achieving their learning goals.
I not only use standard teaching materials, but also my own materials over the years. I am especially good at teaching pronunciation and grammar. I use tones of activities to help my students with learning a new language.
In addition, I have a Master's degree in US-China relations and policy. Thus, I also offer cross-cultural training to prepare professionals doing business in China. I am also a native Cantonese speaker if you would like to learn a little bit of Cantonese to get around in Hong Kong and Guang Dong.
