My name is Dan and I am a tutor that may help you!

My educational background includes a BA in Environmental Studies from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I hold a Master of Public Administration degree from George Mason University. I am also currently enrolled at George Mason University pursuing a PhD in Education-specializing in higher education administration with a research interest in ADHD and college students. I am also currently working on becoming a certified ADHD coach.

I am currently in my 7th year of teaching at a religious school where I teach 3rd grade. I have also taught 5th, 6th, and 4th for various classes. I have also worked as a Kindergarten teacher assistant.

General Music

I have experience in music from playing in band for 7 years in middle school and high school. I also was a part of an orchestra while in college. I have experience teaching basic music skills including how to read music.

Hebrew

I have been teaching Hebrew at a religious school for about 7 years. I have experience tutoring on how to read Hebrew and prayers. I have also taught modern Hebrew.

Oboe

I have 7 years of experience with the oboe (middle school and high school). I have performed with a number of ensembles, including All-County, All-District, and All-State Honor Bands. Other ensembles with which I have performed include: Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra, UNC Symphony Orchestra, and UNCW Wind Ensemble.

Career Development

I have been a co-instructor of a career development class for college students called "College to the Workplace". The class included resumes, interviews, portfolios, and general professionalism.

ADD/ADHD

I am currently training to become an ADHD Coach. I have experience teaching students with ADHD, and my current research involves ADHD, as well.

The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
