I am also currently enrolled at George Mason University pursuing a PhD in Education-specializing in higher education administration with a research interest in ADHD and college students. ADD/ADHD

I have extensive training in ADHD coaching and life coaching from the ADD Coaching Academy. I also have many years working with students with ADHD and am able to help them utilize their strengths to pursue their goals and dreams.

Anthropology

I have taken multiple courses in anthropology. I was an anthropology minor. I also have experience doing anthropological research.

Bible Studies

I have experience teaching religious school for over 8 years. I have taken college level coursework entitled Introduction to Hebrew Bible. I was also was raised in a religious household where I learned quite a bit about Jewish topics. I also have experience tutoring students for their Bar/Bat mitzvah. I also have experience teaching bible stories and about the TaNaK (Hebrew Bible).

Career Development

I have been a co-instructor of a career development class for college students called "College to the Workplace". The class included resumes, interviews, portfolios, and general professionalism.

Ecology

I am a Certified Environmental Educator and have several years experience working with environmental and sustainability related topics. I also majored in Environmental Studies in college. I have experience with Science Fair, research competitions, and Science Olympiad.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have over eight years of experience teaching elementary aged students. I have also worked as a teacher assistant for Kindergarten. I have experience working with all ages of students from K to 6.

Elementary Math

I can help your student to learn multiplication, shapes, angles, division, comparing numbers, and other mathematical topics. I try to use visuals and real life examples to have the examples become more tangible for the student.

General Music

I have experience in music from playing in band for 7 years in middle school and high school. I also was a part of an orchestra while in college. I have experience teaching basic music skills including how to read music.

Hebrew

I have 8 years experience teaching Hebrew. I have experience tutoring Hebrew, as well. I have taught modern Hebrew, prayers, Torah and Haftarah portions, letters, vowels, and reading skills. I am available for Bar and Bat Mitzvah tutoring, general reading, prayers, or if you just want to improve your Hebrew skills. I am available to tutor over Skype too.

Microsoft Excel

Using a hands-on approach, I can help you to better understand Excel. I can help you with setting up a spreadsheet and also field questions about how to navigate Excel.

Microsoft Outlook

I have experience using Outlook in the workplace and have tutored on Outlook. I have covered basic email, how to attach files, the calendar, and appointments.

Microsoft PowerPoint

I can help you with setting up a presentation and also field questions. Using a hands-on approach, I can help you to better understand PowerPoint.

Microsoft Windows

I have experience using Microsoft Windows quite a bit on a nearly daily basis for work and personal purposes. I have experience using multiple versions of Windows including Windows 8.1. I know various tips that can help a student who is writing a paper, as well.

Microsoft Word

I can help you with setting up a document, doing mail merges, and formatting. Using a hands-on approach, I can help you to better understand Word.

Oboe

I have 7 years of experience with the oboe (middle school and high school). I have performed with a number of ensembles, including All-County, All-District, and All-State Honor Bands. Other ensembles with which I have performed include: Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra, UNC Symphony Orchestra, and UNCW Wind Ensemble.
