ACT Reading
I have successfully taken the SAT, ACT, and GMAT, and I am able to assist with reading comprehension and writing to help prepare for the ACT test. I focus on the overall process of the test as well as specific areas of reading comprehension, grammar, accuracy, and writing to help students feel more comfortable during testing. I currently write professionally for the History Division of the USMC.
American History
I have completed both an undergraduate and graduate degree in history. I have extensively studied American history and have the tools to assist students from grade school through graduate studies in this arena. I currently work as a historical researcher and writer for the USMC History Division.
Art History
I have extensively studied art history during the Renaissance when Europe saw a great revival of interest in the classical learning and values of ancient Greece and Rome. The style of painting, sculpture and decorative arts identified with the Renaissance emerged in Italy in the late 14th century; it reached its zenith in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, in the work of Italian masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael. I have extended my studies to include Dutch and French painters. During my undergraduate education I took 12 units of Art History with a GPA of 4.0. In addition, during college I tutored freshman and sophomore students in art history.
Classics
Throughout my studies I have not only worked closely with the classics but continued incorporating them within my ongoing reading. I have tutored students in such works as 'Arabian Nights', 'Moby Dick', and 'Robinson Crusoe'. I personally have read the majority of literature that is considered a classic. During my undergraduate studies I took 15 units of Literature which all revolved around the classics with a 3.9 GPA. Finally, in my Masters Program I incorporated Arabian Nights into my thesis relating to Middle East thought and American ideologies regarding the Middle East.
Criminal Justice
I have taken several pre-law classes and during my Masters program I extensively studied criminal justice processes in the United States system. I have worked with case law in relation to specific criminal cases, successfully submitting documentation to professors with high point results.
Government & Politics
I currently hold a BS in Political Science and a Masters in Government. I have extensively studied both US and international government systems. I am able to work with students on a wide range of topics from country and political system development to political affiliations, founding nation documents, etc. A large amount of my studies also focused on international relations and historic political alliances.
Literature
I am an avid student of the classics and can readily explain and promote learning of everything from Shakespeare to Plato. I have studied American, French, and Italian literature. I have assisted others in understanding the more complex and underlying concepts.
Microsoft Outlook
Throughout my work in corporate organizations I have worked extensively with the entire Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft Outlook has been the principal tool used for e-mail and calendar interaction and processing. I have ten years experience utilizing this operating system.
Public Speaking
While in high school and college I participated in many policy debts and took several public debate courses successfully. I do a great deal of public speaking in my current position as well as writing position papers for congressional candidates while helping them to prepare for speeches.

I focus on the overall process of the test as well as specific areas of comprehensive writing, grammar, accuracy, and clarity to help students feel more comfortable during testing. I currently write professionally for the History Division of the USMC.
Social Studies
I have worked and been educated in social studies. I can help instruct students regarding the integrated study of the social sciences and humanities to promote effective citizenry. From kindergarten through high school students, I have tutored in social studies. I have successfully provided a coordinated, systematic study drawing upon such disciplines as economics, history, geography, archaeology, law, philosophy, political science, religion, and sociology. In college and graduate school I studied archaeology, law, and history extensively with an overall GPA of 3.86.
