I am a native Arabic speaker, I was born in Cairo the capital of Egypt. This is where I spent my entire life until I emigrated to the USA. While in Egypt I worked with American firms as Executive Assistant, and I used to tutor the expatriates and consultants the essentials and basics of the Arabic language in their short term assignments. I also used to escort them to the different landmarks to act the interpreter for them.
I was educated in a language school in my country, and my Arabic scores were the best. I currently possess a certificate in MSA language proficiency test with a score of 4/5.
If you wish to learn the Egyptian Arabic dialect I will be the tutor for you. I worked in my school for several years as an Arabic instructor for junior and junior high. I currently work in the US Department of Justice as an Arabic translator, yet due to sequestration I do not work on a full time basis.
In my library I keep three Arabic tutoring modules, each module is composed of several books that will teach beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels in Arabic. Therefore, the student may be able to understand the basics of the Arabic sentence, i.e. the grammar, the meaning of the words, the proper reading. I may engage the student at a later stage in conversation of different topics related to our daily life in which he/she will learn the vocabulary and word nuances. The student will at a later stage be able to compose short sentences of his/her own, and speak either in MSA or Egyptian dialect which is the easiest one in the Middle East. The student will also be acquainted with the ME culture, habits, and traditions. I also will incorporate some well known idioms and proverbs, and at a later stage the student may read from Arabic books in poetry and others.
