Hi. I have worked as a tutor for the bulk of my life, first by being the oldest of five siblings, then as a volunteer tutor throughout high school and college. I have worked with tutoring agencies such as Huntington Learning Center and I currently run my own after-school program in D.C. I feel I welcome any tutoring challenge, as I am always prepared to learn something new and have been told I make understanding difficult material so much easier. I have my B.A. in Psychology and Theology, have a teaching license from NJ and I am currently working on my MBA with University of Phoenix. I am a firm believer that a confident student is a competent student, and so in addition to assisting with academic progress, I also incorporate confidence building into my work, so that each student leaves from me believing in their ability even after they move on from receiving my services.
