Greetings parents and students!
My name is Erin, and I am super eager to work with students who are struggling in phonics, reading, and spelling. I hold a Bachelors degree in Sociology with a Deaf Studies track, so I am skilled in American Sign Language I and II as well! I also completed prerequisite courses in the field of speech-language pathology including phonetics, speech disorders, auditory processing, etc. I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in speech-language pathology. I hope to eventually work with Deaf and hard of hearing children who want to utilize what speech they have.
I love to make tutoring FUN, so getting to know your child's style, likes, dislikes, etc. is very important. If your child loves Cinderella or Spiderman, we'll surely sneak them in to help them learn! While I'm looking to make the process exciting for your child, I'm also out to get the job done. Clear goals and realistic expectations are crucial for me to have a plan ready and waiting for your child's success. Also, communication with the parents is vital to the tutoring process, so we need to be on the same team.
I look forward to hearing from you!
