I love seeing students succeed, but I want to help ensure that this success is lasting. This is why I specialize in giving the right foundations: mind-set, skill-set and tool-set. I want your learning experience to be both enjoyable and fruitful; I believe that each of these characteristics will build off the other if properly developed.

I have a B.A. in philosophy from Regina Apostolorum University in Rome, graduating magna cum laude. At the same time, I have always been greatly interested in mathematics, receiving, for example, a 5 on the AP Calculus test my junior year of high school. In another spectrum, I am now pursuing an M.A in English from UIC. I hope that a little bit of my enthusiasm for knowledge can rub off.

I love tutoring because of the personal one-on-one level it affords. Each individual person has a unique learning pattern; I want to help you find yours and to make the most out of it.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Latin

I have been tutoring Latin part-time for the last four years, mostly operating on a word-of-mouth basis. I started tutoring Latin while studying philosophy, and continued to follow my passion for the language after graduating.
