I hold a degree in English literature as well as graduate education in English: both in Education and Literature. I published my first newspaper articles while still a college student and was a journalist with daily and weekly newspapers in the 1980's. I have written twenty volumes of poetry, published critical academic papers and monographs, and am now working on my 19th detective novel. I have taught individual students throughout my career, specializing in teaching foreign students who need to acquire English quickly.
I have helped many Asian students gain fluency and improve their spoken English with special exercises to help them improve pronunciation as well as business, academic, and creative writing. As a published novelist, I have particular skills that will help the struggling writer to develop a plot and complete a polished work of fiction or nonfiction. I am available for part-time tutoring in the Arlington-Alexandria areas during evenings and on weekends.
