I have a Masters of Library-Science (2013), Bachelors of English with Creative Writing Emphasis (2011), and Associates of English (2007), all with Honors and a cumulative GPA of 3.92. While attending college, I was granted a merit-based scholarship in the amount of $20,000 annually for the duration of my undergraduate studies. While obtaining my degrees, I was also operating two businesses, editing manuscripts and literary magazines, volunteering for humanitarian causes, and raising my two children.

Since 1998, I have tutored youth--ages newborn through college--in Phonics, English, Reading, Writing, Grammar, Spelling, and Elementary Math (plus some Algebra). Whether working for my Child-Care business, public schools, local libraries, or Learning Centers, I always offer individual attention and care. Additionally, I have worked as an editor, library assistant, and co-founder of a nonprofit for suicide prevention. My volunteerism includes numerous public libraries, elementary schools, literacy programs, mental health operations, and tutoring facilities. These are causes which are dear to my heart, and I will always strive to assist them whenever possible.

My personal thoughts on education are that, with all the fascinating information in the world, learning should never be boring, and all students should be treated as individuals with unique learning styles and specific talents.

My goal is to get students excited about learning, to love literature, and to express themselves effectively through their writing and academic output. Overall, reading, writing, and literacy are my specialties. Given the right tools, I know these can be fun for everyone, and I know these are the basic foundational building blocks upon which academic development is built.

I am also available to assist with your corporate, editorial, or other business needs. Throughout the past decade, I have created and maintained well-over a dozen websites, both for personal and professional use. I am comfortable and confident in my ability to help you take your vision to the next level, whether through social media, promotions, email blasts, or publications.

To balance it all out, I am a practicing yogi, welcoming the serenity of breath that is gained through Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative Yoga. Although I have practiced for over ten years, I remain lifetimes away from becoming a Master. Thus, I practice.

Namaste.
