I'm a current English teacher in the Republic of Georgia. I teach students from ages 5 to 16, both in the classroom as an educator, and outside as a mentor and supervisor of extracurricular activities. With the younger grades I focus mainly on exciting, interactive activities to learn the basics of English, such as games to memorize colors, and puzzles with short words to memorize letters. In the older classes I hold the students to high standards, and expect them to try as hard as they can to succeed. I do not reward only high performance, but effort as well. I will be returning to the United States in December of 2012, and I want to continue to work with youth as an educator and tutor.
About me: I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in International Affairs focusing on Russian studies. I studied Russian for three years in school, and for three years after. While in Georgia, the main languages of communication are Russian and Georgian, and my written and speaking abilities have increased dramatically. I'm also a speaker of Hungarian, and am willing to offer tutoring services to beginner or intermediate students.
