Understanding is important, and what most kids don't realize is that it's easy.
I am currently studying physics and plan to teach on a University level. I have experience teaching youth and adults of all ages.
Paying attention is the key. In all of my experience teaching children and adults, I find that simply getting people involved and understanding who they are is important. I don't teach math, I teach people.
Your kids need to understand, and to do that they need to think. I am good at giving them something to think about. They will soon find that they already know most of the answers, they just never thought about it before.
