Hello,

My name is Jeff. I am currently in the process of finishing my teaching credentials to be a teacher. I am a licensed soccer coach, licensed family coach, residential treatment coach and was a music instructor for a private school prior to moving to Utah. I tutor in all of the basic elementary reading and writing skills as well as most mathematics and logical practices. I also continue to teach music privately. I am also very computer literate and can assist students of all ages to operate newer versions of Quickbooks, Quickbooks POS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook, as well as Microsoft operating systems.

I have a unique ability that allows me to teach students on a level which makes sense to them. By assessing my students' patterns of communication, I am able to present information in a manner that is not only easily understood, but interesting as well.

I enjoy seeing my students excel in areas where they have been blocked before. I have a great deal of success with students diagnosed with; ADD, ODD, Aspergers Syndrome, Autism, Bi-Polar Disorder and others.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Aspergers

I have 3 nephews who have all been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. I have also taught piano students who have been diagnosed with a cross between Aspergers and Autism. I have also taught at two different Youth Residential Treatment Centers, both of which dealt with Aspergers Syndrome.

Cooking

I have no professional experience to offer here. I just love to cook. I am a gourmet in the kitchen. I seldom use recipes, and just throw in what goes well.

Ear Training

Ear training is a standard part of my music instruction. I perform a variety of tonation tests, which test for perfect pitch and relative pitch. I incorporate many fun activities which help students learn how to hear for certain notes and use that note to discover intervals of other notes.

General Music

I play and instruct on the following instruments: Piano, Clarinet, Oboe, English Horn, Saxophone and Bassoon. I have taught music, music appreciation, music history and music theory in a private school in California prior to moving to Utah. I currently teach up to college level theory to my students. I also find my students, who excel, places at which to perform, including some that are paid. I have some students now whom I have shown how to write their own music and are in the process of recording their own C.D.

Piano

I play piano and have instructed piano for over 15 years. I currently teach up to college level theory to my students. I use different methods based on what my students need. I use Suzuki method along with others to nurture students and make them interested in playing.

Public Speaking

I have been the spokesman for a company that provided service seminars to hospitals. I have taken, and later taught, many classes on public speaking. I continue to speak on a regular basis in various venues. My experience incorporates: lecture seminars, training classes, radio voice, acting, performing and master of ceremonies for variety shows.

QuickBooks

I have owned my own businesses since 1992. I have bought, sold and valuated other businesses as well. I have just recently sold a business that I have owned locally for 3 years. I have college background in accounting, auditing and business. All of my businesses have used Quickbooks, Quickbooks Pro and Quickbooks POS. I have instructed many people on it's usage and used them myself very proficiently, every day.

Soccer

I have worked closely with sports medicine doctors and have been trained on how to exercise (work out) without injury and with the greatest benefits. I also have nutritional classes in my background. I currently work out, eat right and stay fit. I have taught youth sports fitness classes locally. I am currently a soccer coach and teach fitness and how to avoid injury as part of my normal routine. I am also the director of Southern Utah Soccer Camp, a local summer program that teaches youth better soccer techniques.
